Silvester Clark, working for HotChilly, designed and documented seismic restraints for suspended mechanical services in the base-isolated Importance Level 4 control tower at Wellington Airport. The seismic restraint design used mainly rigid restraints and was designed to NZS 4219. The control tower opened in August 2018 and is designed to be operational following a 1-in-500-year earthquake event.
